Since 2019, Avana has hosted unforgettable international and local retreats here on the land that left a great impression on those who attended. Our intention is to leave everyone who comes to the land transformed.

We host multi-day events, including excellent catering, accommodation and facilities so you can focus on what matters, your event.

If you can imagine holding talks under the big open tent with the river bubbling past, yoga sessions on the big grass under the shade of bamboo or dance events by a big fire under the stars, talk to us.

We have a minimum of 3 night bookings for retreats.

Accommodation consists of 10 deluxe rooms all with king beds, A/C and ensuites

Due to the demand for our space we have a 3 night minimum hire. Each booking has an additional cleaning fee of $980 or $1480 if you choose to utilise the Forest Abode Cabin.

What makes Avana special

Camping in the rainforest

The shaded rainforest area holds our camp spots where we set up roomy bell tents with crisp bedding and handy furniture.

Lots of space, lots of possibilites

Avana stretches over 5 acres of a mix of cleared grass and rainforest areas. There are plenty of spaces to create activities for your retreats. There is also the possibility of parking on the land and adding more camping options for bigger groups.

Luxe outdoor living

The facilities here are aimed at keeping you connected to nature, while also providing the level of quality that keeps you feeling good and fresh. Hot outdoor showers under the stars and toilets with clear rooves so you can watch the tree canopy sway.

Lush facilitation areas

We have a flat grassed area by the riverside that can be shaded by a large tent to hold your activities, presentations, rituals, talks. Pro soundsystems, mats and other extras can be set up to make your experience complete.

Dedicated cold plunges

We have set up two cold plunges under the trees, by the river, so you can take a dip whenever you want. We have also set up larger pools for bigger events, like Wim Hof, where we can fit 10 people at a time.

The river

Beautiful Wilson’s Creek flows through the property, giving you direct and unrestricted access to cleansing, flowing, natural water to dip in.

Indoor spaces and kitchen

The main house here provides opportunities for indoor activities and use of amenities. There is an upstairs and downstairs kitchen to prepare meals, privately or via a professional catering service. There is a medium-sized presentation room on the downstairs level.

A perfect location to get away in private and also explore the local area.

15 minutes drive to Mullumbimby town including 2 spa centres, local cafés and a pub.

30 Minutes drive to Byron Bay

20 minutes drive to the beaches of Brunswick Heads

1 hour to either Coolongatta or Ballina airports

30 minutes to Killen waterfall

Wim Hof Weekend Retreat, 2025

2 days with Wim Hof himself. 90 participants staying in camping accomodation with bedding provided. Amazing food fully catered for the whole weekend. 2 large icebaths for icebaths. The big open tent by the river with professional sound and live musician for presentations and guided breathwork sessions.
